100+-year-old front porch restoration with modern materials.
The footings were undersized and the porch was sinking into the ground. Several areas were rotten and in need of repair. The porch columns are original and able to be saved while only the column bases needed to be remade. The PVC decking is interlocking to emulate the old tongue and groove wood flooring.
Attempts were made over the years by others to add lattice and the wood was wrapped in aluminum coil stock. We updated those aspects by using PVC privacy lattice and Azek trim boards. The Azek was nice to work with, it allowed us to match the contours of the stone foundation while giving it a nice maintenance free trimmed appearance.
